Dear All,
Another great day at Coogee Beach last Sunday, and welcome to all our new Nippers and parents
From all reports the day was enjoyed by everyone, and kids and parents all had huge smiles on their faces after a great day on the beach:

Parents Training Sessions: Oct 27th 2007: Priority
This Saturday Oct 27th is our second Training day 1.30pm - 4.30pm at the Seaview Room at the Coogee Bay Hotel.
This day is a Compulsory Session if you want to work with the kids on the beach during the season. This includes Age Mgrs, Age assistants and all water safety team.
The cost is $50 and for this you get Nipper Parent membership of the surf club, your t-shirt, afternoon tea and the training: Cash or cheque only
If you weren't there last week you need to be there this Saturday.
Age Assistants please note these training days are your opportunity to get your new shirt for this season:
John Mudge Day this weekend
This day commemorates the commencement of the Nippers by one of the founders
This day will see the under 9's and 10's compete against each other the 11's and 12's and the 13's and 14's
Events will be the Board, Swim, Run, and Flags, with places from 1- 6- the person with most points after all the events is the John Mudge Winner
Beach Set up and BBQ
This weekend the Under 12's are rostered on for Beach Set up and BBQ, so for the parents of this age group please be at the beach at 8.15am and bring your apron for the BBQ and then stay for pack down.
Bronze Medal: Nipper Parents
This course has started but not to late to join - we have over 18 people now in the course
The next day of training will be Oct 25th at 6.00am on the beach, and each Tuesday & Thursday morning, and after Nippers on Sunday from then on for the next 4-5 weeks.
There will need to be an extra session worked into the schedule and this will be worked out within the group as to the best time.
This course will give you a SLSA Bronze Medal, a new level of fitness, and some great skills.
The sessions in the morning are aimed at assisting you to get fitter and more adapted to the water and rescue resources, such as tubes and boards. There will be a minimum of 4 people at the beach to assist in the fitness sessions in the morning, and at least 3 on Sunday.

Randwick Shield Nov 11th at Coogee Beach
Work parties and Water safety roster will be required for his Carnival and BBQ Team
All kids from Under 7's and Under 8's are invited to attend this fun day as we compete with our fellow Randwick Clubs Clovelly Sth Maroubra and Maroubra
We are planning for Under 6's and Under 7's to be at Clovelly on this day.
Clothing and Merchandise
All caps will be in this Sunday and Rash shirts are available at $10 each - highly recommended
Board Training - On this Friday 26th October at 4.30pm at the beach
- Water Safety needs to be in attendance
