	This Week - October 16th 2006 Dear Minnows Team, Well a bit wet to start, the sun tried to come out, and another Minnows Sunday morning on Coogee Beach came to life. Thanks to all for your assistance, and all is working well in this very early part of the season. Our first Parents training day on Saturday had over 45 people so thanks to all for the attendance. On the Agenda this week are the following items. Please scroll down to read the necessary information. Second Minnows Parents Training Day Parents Seafood Buffet & Cocktail Night Bronze Medal Water Safety Dolphin Surf Camp John Mudge Day 1. Coogee Minnows Parents 2nd Training Day: @ Mid Level - Coogee Palace Nth Coogee: October 21st: 1.30 - 4:30pm Age Assistants Course - for all those who wish to assist on the beach, get informed and be part of a great team of parents For all those attending the Training Course, the cost of the course is $40. For this you will attend the course, get a new Blue Minnows Parents T-Shirt and Minnows Parents membership to the Coogee Surf Club (this covers your insurance while on the beach). For those parents doing Water Safety, and also requiring this as part of your patrol hours, then your cost is the full cost of membership to the Coogee Surf Club being $50. 2. *****Coogee Minnows*** ***Annual Parents Seafood Buffet and Cocktail Night*** October 21st 6:00pm - 9:00pm: A great night out to meet other parents, have some great Seafood (if Seafood isn't your go other food will be available), enjoy the great view, and have a good time, without the kids in tow. We'll also share a bit of info on Coogee Minnows, and answer any questions. It's an informal night, and a good one too. Bronze Medal: Those wishing to do the above course so they can assist in the water, please note the next course starts on Oct 17th at the Surf Club @7.00pm Info Session: This is a great opportunity to get some serious skills, raise your fitness, and be able to wear the coveted green t-shirt For Minnows parents the main aim is to get through the course, and pass both the practical and theory. You do not need to attend every training session, but can do some work in your own time if need be. Plus we are happy to arrange some special training sessions (physical, not theory) after Nippers. 4. Water Safety: For the Water Safety Team our proficiency date is now confirmed as Sunday Nov 12. We will be implementing some training days prior to this which will include some Sundays after Minnows. 5. Dolphin Surf Camp: 18-19th Jan 2007: Registration forms will be on the beach next Sunday 22nd October - Don't forget.... first in first served $99 per child, - for the second child in the same family the cost will be $74 (the club will subsidise $25 for the second child) 6. John Mudge Day Sunday 22nd October - This day is where the Under 9's and 10's get together, 11's and 12's join for the day, and 13's and 14's for some interage friendly competition Also attached is the latest Calendar for the upcoming season - We will have printed versions on the beach in the first two weeks.
