This Week - 14th February 2006

Dear All

Well another Branch Carnival over, and well done to the team that competed and thanks to the team at Bondi SLSC for a great day

We came away with a range of Medals on the day from the Under 8's up, so a big effort was put in by all those who competed

A big thanks you to those who officiated on the day - to Tom C, Craig H, Craig M, Brett G and Louise B - without you guys we wouldn't even be there and Helen did a great job in the presentation area.

Coogee's Water Safety Team led by Kel Pearce (thanks for early start) put in a huge effort on the day, and some were still working in the water after their shift had finished -well done ladies and gents and thanks to all

As some of you know we had 2 injuries on the day and both from the same family- and both parents assisting on the day also.

Caitlin and Heather Milne sustained injuries on the day and both were taken to hospital

Caitlin is fine but with a sore shoulder, and Heather has a pulled rotator cuff - both are fine and back at school. Lots of people have called asking how the kids are and this is very much appreciated by the family.

To Mary Jane and all those who assisted with the boards well done and a huge effort

As always it was the teamwork on the day that made it so successful . Not only with the organizing but also with the events. Lots of Minnows were asking others if they could help make up teams, which they did, and the level of camaraderie was fantastic between all the kids.

Coogee - well done, it was a great day, great surf and a wonderful team effort - as usual.

See you on the beach this Sunday for Surf Ed - Champo Day 2 and Iron man & Diamond lady for the Under 11's

Afternoon Everyone,

As you all know the Club is holding the major Competition fundraising Cocktail Party and 200 Club on Saturday 25th February at the Randwick Rugby Club. This will be a fantastic night held for all...with DJ, raffles, auctions, all drinks and food inclusive. So get a ticket, break out the ol suit or frock and we'll see you there next week.

I have attached the flyer for this and also one for the 200 Club we are running.

On the bottom half of the 200 club flyer you will notice a credit card payment sheet that can be used for both 200 club and Cocktail party tickets. Once you've done this you can either drop them to the club or get them back to either Nicole Charlton, Mick Windley or myself.

We will also have people down at the Trivia night on Friday starting at 7pm and up at the club on Sunday after Club Champs selling tickets to both, as N.B. these are your last opportunities to buy.

If you are interested in a 200 club ticket (1 in 200 chance of winning $5000 cash) then please let me know ASAP so that I can reserve you a number. 1st in 1st served. As there is maximum of 200 tickets.

Anyone (friends, family, work collegues, neighbours, your mate's brother's ex etc) can come to the event and/or buy a ticket in the 200 club.

For full details on both please read both attached docos.
