	Coogee Minnows : November 14th 2007 Randwick Shield: Nov 11th 2007 What a wonderful day we had last Sunday at Coogee Beach, and what a great exhibition of a fantastic team, all working as one. From the first arrival yesterday at 5.30am, to the final pack down at the end of the day, I want to say a huge thank you to each of you for your effort support and commitment. To all those who officiated and assisted in the Event Areas what a great job you did, getting the areas organised and underway, and running them very well. To our ever increasing and diligent Water Safety and IRB team a big effort on the day, and thanks on behalf of all the kids for your assistance and presence, especially for the under 9's. To the Hospitality and BBQ teams who kept us all fed and watered on the day many thanks - lots of smiling faces on the teams on the beach for this one, and the food and drink was very much appreciated. To the Gear Team especially Mark (the Phantom) for managing al the resources in the shed well done To Warren and the Relay and Robo teams a great effort, and thanks for the input in getting the kids up to speed. And finally to all the kids who came down and put on the Coogee Cap what an effort from the Under 8's to the Under 14's The entire team at Coogee Minnows can be very proud of what we achieved yesterday, and it was a credit to the spirit of our kids and parents that the day was such a success. Another benchmark set by Coogee Minnows,.... and congratulations to all. Beach Set up November 18: Under 10's This weekend the Under 10's are rostered on for Beach Set up, so for the parents of this age group please be at the beach at 8.15am and then stay for pack down. No BBQ this week This Sunday November 18 - Life Saving Skills Day and Surf Ed Looking forward to our first day at the beach for Lifesaving Skills - board rescues, tube rescues & surf skills and Surf Ed. We will have some board training after Nippers this Sunday. Parents Training Session Wed November 21st 2007: (last one for this season) Wednesday 21st Nov is our last Training day 7.00pm - 9.30pm at the Seaview Room at the Coogee Bay Hotel This day is your final opportunity to attend this Compulsory Session if you want to work with the kids on the beach during the season. This includes Age Mgrs, Age assistants and all water safety team. The cost is $50 and for this you get Nipper Parent membership of the surf club, your t-shirt, afternoon tea and the training: Cash or cheque only. Parents Dinner Nov 23rd 2007 held at Coogee SLSC - 6.30pm - till 10.00pm onwards The Minnows Entertainment night of the year is now open for bookings - Current cost is $35 per head. We've got great food, including seafood, salads, meats and some very special treats, drinks will be at bar prices, and a two piece combo who'll lay out a few tunes for us on the night and a dance floor. So time to book and get in early - payment will be required at the beach on the 18th Nov: Final bookings by EOB Tues 20th Nov: It was a great night last year and promises to be an even better one this year. As outlined Parents Only Come along and meet a whole bunch of new friends at one of the best locations on the coast ...we do look forward to as many parents coming as possible. Sunday Nov 25th 2007 : Please be aware that there is no Nippers on Sunday the 25th due to the Express Glass Island Challenge: No Board training this Friday 16th Nov Committee will have a response to this situation after our meeting next Monday.
