This Week - 6th March 2006

Dear Minnows Team,

A good Sunday on the beach with some solid Coogee shore break testing the kids skills, and well done to the Water Safety Team for their effort in some sizable conditions.

Teams Days are always fun and it was great to see so many kids enjoying themselves yesterday.

The 6's and 7's enjoyed some time on the boards in the pool under some very watchful parents - there is some great potential in these age groups supported by lots of enthusiasm.... parents included

State Titles - A Great Result for Coogee

You will all be very pleased with our results from the State Titles, our small team of 19 produced 2 medals ( silver and bronze) and finalists in 4 events, all finalists finished in the top 10 .
Benjamin Thorton  2nd in the U/10 surf race,
Jessica Thorton      3rd in the U/8 beach sprint
Jessica Thorton     5th U/8 beach flags
William Ball,          6th U/10 surf race  
U/13 Surf Teams 9th (Angus Bennett, Elliot Doughty, Jonathon Laing & Nathan Stone).

The team also produced numerous semi final appearances

A huge congratulations to the Team and well done Coogee - On behalf of the Club thank you to all the kids for such a big effort, and to the parents many thanks for helping to organise the team. Special thanks to Mary Jane Ling and Craig Bennett for their input

I would encourage as many people to join us for this meeting as possible. This is your club, and the team that run Coogee Minnows are your representatives. If your child is a registered member of Coogee Minnows then you have a vote.
