Dear Minnows Team,
Dear Team,
Well, here we are counting down to the end of the season with our 2nd last week on the beach, and it seems like only yesterday it was October and we'd just started again
A lot has happened this year, and the activity and enthusiasm on the beach has been fantastic for all of us

Well done to all those who have taken up the challenge and we look forward to supporting you in your quest for the great green shirt
State Carnival:
Congrats to the 18 Minnows who participated at the State Carnival and congratulations to Jessica Thornton with a silver medal. Thanks also to Warren and MJ for organising the team and the gear, and to Craig Bennett for being our allocated official.
Completion of the Season:
With only a few weeks to go here is the final schedule for this season:
Sunday March 11 6 & 7's Presentations on the beach - Last Sunday of the Season on the beach - Life Saving competition 10 -14’s
Sunday March 18 8-14's Presentation Day - 12.30pm -1.00pm Annual General Meeting then 1.00pm -4.00pm 8-14's Presentation Day - Coogee Randwick RSL
We would encourage as many parents as able to attend this years AGM - it's your Committee and your club, so if you want a vote please join us at 12.30pm prior to the Presentations.
At our last Committee Mtg we reluctantly accepted the resignation for our very efficient and wise Club Secretary Mr Jim Mackie.
Jim has served as Secretary for the last three seasons and has given wonderful support to the whole team, especially keeping us on track in our meetings and delivering the best minutes ever. It's a loss for us but with work commitments getting even bigger at the hospital Jim had to make some hard decisions.
From all of us at the Committee Jim a huge thank you for your effort, wisdom and encouragement. We look forward to seeing you on the beach
So ... this means that the position of Club Secretary is now open.. so if you are keen to get a bit more involved and be part of the inner workings of the Minnows, please let me know and we can have a chat Jim has promised to do the best handover possible and he'll still be around to answer any tough questions. The Committee meets the 3rd Monday each Month from 7.30pm till around 9.30pm.
As an advice to all the team it has also been agreed at the Committee that the Age Mgrs will now be part of the Committee, and next season we will have a roster system, based on the age groups, for beach set up and BBQ.
See you on the beach
