Only four more sleeps; and the last of those is an hour shorter…
Minnows U7 Families, welcome to the Coogee Minnows 2014-15 season. I hope that everyone is ready and raring to go at 8:45 this Sunday?
The first few Sundays are always chaotic so please bear with us. This season even more so as we also now have to comply with new (and unexpected) water proficiency requirements for both the U6 and U7 kids. Don’t be alarmed; we’re not going to make them swim out to Wedding Cake Island! But do expect them to get wet and probably a little cold as we ask them to glide/kick/swim a distance of 3m in the water. Please ensure that you remain close by with towel and Minnows shirt to dry and dress them afterwards.
Other than that it’s business as usual! Rubber chickens relays, buckets, noodles, jumping sacks and dodge ball. With some new games thrown in for good measure.
As I’ve stressed many times, Coogee Minnows is run entirely by volunteers. Please consider becoming involved as an Age Assistant or push yourself to a Bronze Medallion and become one of our treasured Water Safety? http://www.coogeeminnows.com.au/adult-registration/
As always comments and suggestions are welcome; this is as much your club as anyone else’s so make your voice heard. Also sign-up for the Minnow Mail newsletter here.
Thanks All, see you this Sunday,
Will.
Coogee Minnows U7 Age Manager.
